User AvatarIts been so long since I have played it, probably at least 4 or 5 years... I remember getting it and being so stoked, since I heard it was basically a Resident Evil clone. It didnt live up to my expectations but it was still fun in its own right..
User AvatarI remember it. It had a ship, and water, and dead bodies and a torch, and other stuff.
User AvatarI have it sitting here on a shelf. Maybe I'll even play it one of these days. ;)
User AvatarI read a review of it. It was once made a "game of the month" by a Polish videogame magazine.
User AvatarJust saw it today on a covermount. Ended buying Far Cry 'cause a friend wants a multiplayer session.
User AvatarAm I the only one who finished it?

It's one of those games I'm always about to replay. It was quite fun, really, even though it was -indeed- nothing more than a RE4 clone. funnily enough, not only were the controls much better than those of the RE4 port (which is hardly an achievement), but they were better than the controls in RE5, go figure.

And the rocking boat effects with those big waves and whatnot were awesome.
User AvatarWell, I got to the second to last level, and then I accidentally ran over my disk with my chair. :(

User AvatarI actually started playing it today (on the easy setting, just to get a feel for the game)... and man. That game has some serious issues.

My main problems with the game are:
  • Stiff main character animation. Looks like he's got a broomstick up his butt.
  • Very awkward controls. When you're walking around the game uses a blend of static camera angles and some moving ones. There is no way to control the camera unless you hold down the "aim" button. But the problem then is that the character starts walking slowly.
  • Semi-non-existent story and somewhat uninspired and lackluster voice acting.
  • The only way to kill enemies "permanently" is to shoot them in the head, but they are so fast that they always manage to get up close and personal before you have time to shoot them. If they are far away you miss because you're on a rocking ship most of the game. Also, when you shoot them and they fall over, half the time they land with their heads away from you. By the time you've walked around them and gotten the aim good they get back up again. Rinse, repeat.
  • When aiming the camera goes up really close behind the main character, so you can hardly see in front of him sometimes, making aiming a pain (especially precision aiming).
  • There are no maps anywhere in the game, so most of the time you'll have to try to remember what rusty hallway leads to which while trying to do specific objectives.
  • There are maybe a total of 4 different types of enemies in the game. Variety happens to other games I guess.

    What's good about it?
  • The graphics are alright most of the time, and when you're on the deck of the boat it's neat with the rain and waves all over.
  • It's roughly 5 hours long, meaning that you'll finish it quickly so that you can put it aside and forget you ever played in less than 15 minutes.

Ok, that's as much of a review this game will ever get from me I think. Good thing it only cost me like $4 or so. :)
