Greetings, New User! You've found our great database and realized you could ask us about that game you played years ago, which title escapes you? "These folks know so many games, maybe they'll help me to identify that old shareware title I was playing in 1990s".
No worries, we treat such requests as a sport! However, in order to save our time and frustration (and saving yourself from our witty remarks) please follow these guidelines:
When did you play it (first time)? e.g: my last high school years, so about 1991-92. It narrows the search greatly.
What computer/console/operating system run it? e.g: I played it at my buddy's home, he had C64. While many games were ported to different platforms, again, this narrows the search a lot.
While telling us about the game itself, try to recall:
Genre - was that a shooter? turn-based wargame? point-and-click adventure?
View - was it viewed from the side, scrolling smoothly? or maybe top-down? were you looking from your avatar's eyes, as in "Doom" (1st person perspective) or were you staring at Lara's ass (3rd person perspective) ?
