Looking for a DOS game which was quite similar to Spyder - basically, a bunch of spiders descend from the top of the screen, and your objective is to prevent them from reaching the floor (by shooting them, which pushes them back up a bit).

This particular game used hi-res EGA graphics (640x350, 16 colors). IIRC it was shareware. No mouse or sound card support. Looked very much like other cheap, Borland-esque BBS fodder of that era, but this one was different: all graphics and sprites were stored in .CUT files - which could be edited as-is, using the old DOS graphics suite Dr Halo. I distinctly remember this because it was one of my first attempts at "modding" games. ;)

Not sure about the release date, but my gut tells me it was probably 1990 or so, give or take a couple of years.

Any ideas?
