I can't remember when I played it exactly but it must of been around the old 95ish area. I definitely played it with my dad as a kid on PC. I'm pretty sure it was a first person adventure puzzle game where you went to the center of the earth. You needed 4 different objects to do something and you traded them endlessly to get your 4 with NPCs. I think they were used to restart the earth's core.

I've been thinking about this for days guys, thanks in advance.
Just to rule it out - you aren't thinking of Torin's Passage and perhaps getting a few details confused, right?
I could be getting a few details confused, but no that i was the first suggestion I got somewhere else. Thanks though
oh, now, here's a promising one....

could you possibly be remembering The Day The World Broke?
THATS IT! Thank you so much, I was starting to think I made it up haha.
Forgot to say PM with me with a paypal address, I'll send you a $5 "bounty" if possible
no need for that, thank you all the same - finding out about these games is reward enough for me. Although I certainly wouldn't mind if you created a Mobygames entry for the game!
