I just started playing the game and I already noticed some suspected bugs. I know there are patches for the game, but I don't know the game (or computers!) well enough to know what is the nature of the bug and its fix.
Bug 1: losing access to menu. I can only see those bars at the top (is it a mini version of the character sheet?), but when I move my mouse pointer there, the top menu doesn't pop up. It happened twice; I just closed the game and started it again.
Bug 2: as in the title. Note: I turned voice over OFF (Music: Adlib / No audio/voice card) - I'm not sure why, but I just dislike speech in games and prefer hearing just music and reading the dialog instead of reading + listening. Anyway, this written dialog started progressing too quickly - I didn't press anything. Now I don't really know what Katrina said...
I'll see if there is anything on text speed in the game menu, anyway...(As always - I start asking and only later I think of a hypothetic solution.) I have version 1.0, probably the most "buggy" one.

Edit: why does the forum script "understand" double breaks, but not single ones? (I had to add "< br >".)

This game is notoriously buggy through and through. Different patches just mean different bugs.

As for the forum, it's cruel and capricious.

I have already found a solution to bug 2. In case someone else has the same problem: setup is not enough, you should also disable "audio" in the game options. Then the text will work OK. However, the "losing access to menu" bug still pops every now and then.
