It appears that generic_user, in making this web browser game, stole the artwork for the wumpus itself from my earlier Mac Classic game (http://codenautics.com/wumpus/). I recognize that artwork because I created it myself.

I'll be contacting Kongregate about the copyright infringement, but I thought it should be discussed here too.

Also, the cover image shown on this page is from my game (you can see it is a screen capture from http://codenautics.com/wumpus/), and not from the browser game, which has much cruder artwork except where stolen from mine. So that's an incorrect cover and should be removed.

Stolen art or not, the cover is one used on the Kongregate site, as seen here. We can note the stolen assets in the game entry though, including the removal from Kongregate if you're able to get that to happen.

Art theft always sucks. Sorry to hear you're dealing with that. :/

Don't we have a 'copyright infringement' group or something like this? I think i stumbled over the group a month or two ago..

It's been changed to "games involved in legal disputes", but yeah.

Shouldn't there be a group for games that have stolen assets but haven't been in the court yet?

One example: http://www.mobygames.com/game/quest__/forums/dga,2/dgm,167615/

I don't know if a game group is the best setting for that information -- really it demands a blog where the original assets can be seen side by side with the derivatives. (Also, the burden of proof on people adding games to the group would require nothing less.)

Yes we do:

BTW i think it was named Copyright Infringements earlier but was changed to it´s current name.

Edit: I wrote my comment the same time Harmony♥ did!

It looks like kongregate removed the game from the catalog
