Is it just me or does this game actually require better specs from your PC than the original ?
Because when I play it, it lags like *profanity censorship* while the original almost doesn't lag at all. Yes, it is. I also noticed less frame rates than in the previous one.By the way, I also noticed less quality in the story. I stopped playing it because of that. What do you think? If I have enjoyed a lot the first one, will this expansion still be interesting to play or the quality drops too much? It was enough silly for me to see Alma alive at the end of the first one, but watching at Paxton Fettel alive again in Extraction Point was just too much. ![]() MichaelPalin Wrote:

I haven't played EP, so it's sort of shocking to read you noticed LESS QUALITY IN THE STORY??? Are we talking about the same F.E.A.R.? Man, they really outdid themselves with that one :P
i felt that FXP didn't lived up to my expectations. and the lagging didn't make the experience better either :/ i stopped playing only due to that.
I'll probably play it just because I have a better computer now, and they are developing so many games, that maybe some of them is good enough. And it's one of the best FPSs of all times, that's a good reason too.
heard of part 2 of F.E.A.R. ? they're gonna call it "Project Origin".
sounds promising See?, but you have to play all the expansions first, :P
yeah, i guess so too :D i wish they didn't were so spec demanding though :(

Actually, you won't have to. Monolith announced that Project Origin is going to pick up after the events of the original F.E.A.R. and ignore the story lines of Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate, which kind of makes the existence of those expansions completely pointless. I agree that the story lines of the two expansions were kind of dull, so I'm not disappointed the Monolith is basically abandoning them. It just makes me wonder why the hell they bothered to make those games in the first place. ...oh right, the money... Just got it now and I have to agree. The original F.E.A.R. runs maxed out and with no problems. This thing? Still smooth but noticeably laggier.Story is a piece of shit, just like the original's so no change there I guess. |
