Gameplay feature: Monster capture / training
Group DescriptionGames where capturing monsters (usually through combat or other violent means) is a major or minor gameplay element.
A successfully captured monster may be later viewed in the player's inventory, bestiary, or equivalent interface. These captured monsters are frequently further manipulated for other purposes, such as converting them to become minions or companions or being processed as alchemy ingredients.
Many games that have this feature belong to the role-playing genre and therefore may include monster training in various forms, allowing captured monsters grow in combat strength and abilities.
