Genre: Tile matching puzzle (removal)

Group Description

Tile matching puzzle games where the player can click on tiles to remove groups of adjacent same colored/themed tiles in order to score. This type of gameplay was introduced by Kuniaki Moribe with the game Chain Shot in 1985.

Not to be confused with Tile matching puzzle games (creation). The player's task here is not to switch adjacent tiles, but simply to remove already existing groups by clicking on them or using the mouse click-hold-drag action to form chains of like tiles.
