007: The World is not Enough is a must-have for all N64 players. As I said before the features that have been included will mesmerize you. You will feel like you are watching the movie over again. You will notice that there are some differences between the movie and the game, but this is necessary for the game to be fun and exciting to play. Will you stop Renard and King from executing their diabolical plan? And what will become of M? Are you worthy enough to represent MI-6 as Bond? We will see.

Even though TWINE is well worth a purchase, it seems to have been over-looked, even though it was released three years after the classic GoldenEye. I almost feel that I had a better time playing TWINE than GoldenEye, but I doubt that any game will ever beat GoldenEye's multi-player, which gives it unlimited replay value. For me, TWINE was more of a sequel to GoldenEye than Perfect Dark, based purely on gameplay and not on the James Bond theme. If you own a N64 and still play it, TWINE is well worth a trip to the game store.

Nintendo 64Gaming Target
The World Is Not Enough is better than it’s been said to be at other sites like IGN or Daily Radar. I enjoy it because it’s different. At least another company took a shot at it. I also believe that they hit their target. Maybe they weren’t looking for a GoldenEye clone. Maybe they wanted their own originality to be in there. I’m not sure, but this game does NOT suck. To most true gamers, you will appreciate this game and not pick at the little things. Every game has its quirks in its areas and TWINE shouldn’t always be compared to ‘Rare’ games like GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. If there was no Rare... What would you all think about TWINE then? I’d say it would be my god...

Nintendo 64All Game Guide
While The World Is Not Enough may not be better as a single-player game than GoldenEye (that would be sacrilege, after all) it is at least on par, which is high praise indeed. And such a rating amply demonstrates that Eurocom did its homework when they designed this title.

The World Is Not Enough doesn't quite surpass the gameplay standard set by the recent Perfect Dark, but it does have better audio and the graphics are a notch above its predecessor, GoldenEye. Bond fans and N64 gamers who long for a solid shooter will be really pleased with the elements in TWINE. It's a great addition to the N64 library of games.

Nintendo 64IGN
The World is Not Enough is an excellent 3D shooter for Nintendo 64 and an amazing follow-up to Rare's GoldenEye. Whether or not its ultimately better than Perfect Dark is a question that's open for debate, as different gamers obviously want different things out of their shooter. However, if it's an incredible single-player mode packed full of spy gadgetry, stealthy missions, clever mission objectives and outstanding graphics that you're after, you can't do better than this Eurocom shooter, even if it does fall a little short in the AI and multiplayer departments.

It has to be said that this game is decidedly different in gameplay than any Rare or Acclaim shooter. If you're an FPS buff, get in on this game. If not, just check it out. Its simplified approach and cool cinematic feel of the single player mode will whisk you away in no time at all.

Nintendo 64Gamer's Pulse
The World Is Not Enough does have some value in the N64 family. It has its virtuous moments throughout the game (primarily during the single-player missions). Besides the lack of detail in the graphics department and the multi-player, EA has done a pretty good job with TWINE, exploring the limits of weapon design, the capability of voice functions, and has shown that James Bond is still able to perform world-saving tasks - but I don’t believe this game will be etched on the N64 walk of fame.

Graphically, both games are impressive — especially given the age of Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation — and each version also aims to take advantage of the given platform's strengths. The PlayStation version allows for more than 20 minutes of streaming video plucked right out of the movie thanks to its CD-based technology, whereas the Nintendo 64 version enjoys a collection of fun multiplayer maps and special game modes for as many as four players on the same television. The number of levels, weapons and gadgets also vary between the two versions.

Nintendo 64Cincinnati Enquirer
The Nintendo 64 game is the superior of the two for its savvy level design, 40-plus gadgets/weapons, smarter artificial intelligence and wealth of multiplayer options.

I’m very glad I had the opportunity to play this game. I would likely have passed it up on my own, since I have little respect for EA after the travesty that was their last attempt at a Bond game, but they did the right thing with this one. They borrowed heavily from Rare’s golden child and as we all discovered in school, copying someone else’s homework usually works out well.

Despite my many criticisms of TWINE, it’s a fun game to play. It captures many aspects of the Bond experience that even the venerable Goldeneye missed. Though it lacks the polish and refinement that made GE the classic it is today, TWINE looks great, plays well, and delivers what many N64 gamers have waited 3 years for: Bond... James Bond.

Nintendo 64Game Revolution
While TWINE isn't a very original game and is definitely not the best game of its kind, it is still a solid one, good for a few thrills and some good hours. If there weren't so many better games of the same ilk, I'd definitely recommend this one. But there are, and TWINE isn't at the top of the stack. However, if you've got all the rest and you're looking for more, then you should absolutely give this game a shot.

PlayStationGame Revolution
Overall, TWINE is a solid game. It's got action, adventure and excitement, though the lack of AI is a letdown. I just wish I could learn that "stealth crawl" that allows Bond to cruise down empty halls unnoticed by security cameras and guards. However, the varied missions and plethora of gadgets will keep you entertained while the music and videos keep the game exciting. The World is Not Enough is definitely worth checking out, but be careful with the case - it just may be bugged.

Nintendo 64GameSpot
The World Is Not Enough belongs in the upper echelon of Nintendo 64 software, but it lacks the polish required to reach classic status. More stealth elements and less reckless gunplay would have helped give it the elegant feel that's appropriate for the franchise, but thanks to the cool gadgetry, it still maintains that James Bond vibe. The limited multiplayer mode hurts TWINE's value, but the one-player story mode is fast, fun, and entertaining. Those looking for the second coming of GoldenEye's perfectly tuned gameplay and Perfect Dark's customization will be disappointed. Bond fans will enjoy this game immensely, and for serious FPS fans, it serves as a nice diversion.

TWINE falls short of its N64 counterpart, as well as the Medal of Honor series on PS-X. If you hadn’t guessed yet, I can’t recommend this as more than a quick rental.

PlayStationIGN
Whichever way you look at TWINE, the game does deliver a cachet of bright spots, makes use of some inventive gadgetry, and grows more complex and entertaining in each and every level. Let's be clear, TWINE doesn't come close to Goldeneye, and it's entirely different than the superior Nintendo 64 version, but it's better than Tomorrow Never Dies. Where does that leave us? TWINE is a solid action game with hints of goodness here and yonder, and it's worthy of any spy-lover's time.

PlayStationGameSpot
Any newbie to stealth shooters will get a lot out of The World Is Not Enough, but vets of the sneak-and-kill scenario will find it drab and lacking innovation. The small details that Rare included in GoldenEye that gave it such a believable feel are absent here, and small nuances like enemies respawning out of thin air further detract from the game's realism. If you're looking for a good weekend rental, The World Is Not Enough provides just enough gameplay to keep you busy until Sunday. TWINE is not GoldenEye for the PlayStation, but if you're tired of playing through Medal of Honor or Metal Gear Solid, it provides temporary relief for your stealth shooting addiction.

PlayStationPSX Extreme
After much hype surrounding The World is Not Enough, we are once again disappointed that this game isn't as good as EA claimed it to be, from the weak and repetitive visuals, to the somewhat enjoyable gameplay and the incredibly short replay value, TWINE is an average game hampered by average aspects, that if had more attention paid to them, could have been above average, around the status of "good", but instead EA and Black Ops rushed the game, pulling out every fundamental aspect out of the game and making it into one game that is barely worth a rental.

Det enda som håller The World is not Enough flytande är uppdragen. The World is not Enough har trots allt ett par gyllene spelmoment.

After thoroughly enjoying the N64 offering, I was excited to get a chance to play it again on PlayStation. Unfortunately, even though the games carry the same name, they are quite different. The N64 version not only has better levels, but the flow of the game seems to make some sense. The PS-X version just goes from scene to scene and lets you take over after you watch a clip from the movie. I was really expecting a lot from this game as Medal of Honor: Underground is a truly impressive shooter, but TWINE is extremely disappointing. There are some nice touches to this version, like the voice-over mission overviews from M, R, and Moneypenny, but the gloss isn’t enough to cover up this game’s flaws. TWINE is a definite must on N64, but this PS-X wannabe is best left on the shelf.

Although the game did have some redeeming qualities, there were not enough of them to make me want to continue playing. There was never a question of what you had to do or what your mission was. While I am pretty sure that getting Pierce Brosnan for the voiceover was not really an option, at least they could have found someone with an actual English accent. 007: The World Is Not Enough just does not live up to the hopes that I had going into it. The world is not enough? Well, neither is this game.

Nintendo 64Christ Centered Game Reviews
The main mode, single-player, has 14 levels, each with three difficulties: Agent, Secret Agent, and 00 Agent. These extra difficulties add depth and replayability to the game, yet do not enhance gameplay, save for extra mission objectives. I must dock this game for on the appropriateness level because of the cleavage shown, the amount of violence, and an easter egg my friend and I discovered in multiplayer, in which a really injured player will have bloody hands with no skin on them.

The World is Not Enough is a decent first person shooter, and definitely the best Bond game to be released on the PlayStation (but still not better than Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64). The game is not completely ruined by its AI and graphical deficiencies, and is a far better game overall than Alien Resurrection. It is still an disappointingly flawed game however, which still leaves Medal of Honor (and its sequel) as the untouchable masters of the first person shooting genre on the PlayStation.
