Descriptions:

This simulation serves well three different parts of gameplay - Trading, building and fighting. You have to find an isle and begin to build up your empire. Fight against pirates and your competitors. There are over 90 buildings, 30 different jobs and more than 300 different isles. For beginners there's a tutorial, and for more advanced players are different scenarios available. The videos are nicely rendered and the game supports a resolution up to 1024 x 768.

You are the king of an as yet un-named European nation during 1602 AD. Your job is to build up the colony, and turn your small nation into a trading powerhouse.

You'll have to start small, and build up the colony, growing food and water supplies for your people. From there, you must build up the industry, create trade agreements with neighbours, and create armies (just in case an agreement falls through).

There are 15 scenarios in total (6 in the European release, and an added 9 for the US version), each with different tasks to perform to build up your nation, and crush your opponents. Free play is more like a SimCity game, where you go about building your land as much, and as long as you want. Finally, multiplayer options allows you to fight it out with your pals.
