Shock Wave

From it's impressive full-motion video introduction to it's white knuckles flying action, Shock Wave is great visceral entertainment. First-person shooters have a tendency to bore me, but Shock Wave rocks. It's a shooter, it's a space opera and it's no-holds-barred excitement.

Although a little more attention should've been paid the aforementioned details, this disc puts up a good fight. Shooter vets eager to cut another notch into their 3DO will be in for a shock.

Here's another wild shooting frenzy for the 3DO! The first thing anyone will notice is the attention to detail in the opening cinemas with, dare I say, Good acting. The game itself as a nice non-linear feel to it with action and intensity to keep you coming back for more. As with many of the 3DO flight sims, it had touchy controls (maybe it's time for an after-market controller), but it's nothing a little time can't solve.

Electronic Arts's Shock Wave is a futuristic game where your role will be to eradicate an alien invasion on Earth. You and the experimental F-177 heavy fighter are humanity's last hope to survive the dramatic conflict started by the alien forces.
