ABC Sports Monday Night Football '98 improves the NFL live-action football of its predecessor with some new features.

New is the Exhibition Mode which, like it sounds, lets you watch two teams of your choice play a full game. Returning are the Action Mode (now called League/Season Mode) and the Coach Mode. Creating and editing plays, and importing them for implementation, is still possible with an external program included with the game.

You can also create completely new leagues and your own coach profiles, and choose randomly selected schedules or the default 1996-97 NFL schedule.

Multiplayer and internet play have been updated. Play internet games through MPlayer or by setting up your system as a host. Co-op play is still available through modem or LAN. The manual contains over 100 pages.
