So at the end of the day it all comes down to “Is the AC/DC Live Rock Band Track Pack worth the price of entry?” This is where the debate will really take off. The suggested price of this track pack is $39.99 for next-generation systems, which can be seen as quite pricey for only 18 songs totaling 99 minutes of gameplay. However, when you take into consideration that you can earn 12 new achievements, transfer the tracks to your library of Rock Band DLC on your HDD, then the price is a little easier to swallow. I would have to say that this track pack is a solid addition to the Rock Band family even if it might seem a little on the expensive side. Just remember, unless you reside in Canada you will have to make a trip to Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club to find it.

Pretty good effort for a group of rockers who probably have forgotten more about touring and writing music then I will ever know. AC/DC is a good filler disc as long as you are a fan.

With these minor quibbles aside, buying this disc pack is slightly cheaper than buying all the songs online, so this is the best bargain for your buck. Fans will pick this up bar none, but others may want this set to add to their list of songs to play with their friends during parties. Just prepare to rack up those ending bonus counts after each song... some are upwards of 50000 in solo play alone!

To paraphrase AC/DC: Let there be sound. There was sound. Let there be guitar. There was guitar. Let there be drums. There were drums. Let there be a $40 AC/DC track pack sold exclusively at Wal-Mart. There was a great disc that every AC/DC fan should buy. Let there be rock!

All of these details are just a long way of restating what we said at the start of this review: There are some great AC/DC tracks here which would make a fantastic addition to any Rock Band collection, but you'll have to pay a premium to get them, including a lot of songs you're probably not interested in. Unless you're an absolute AC/DC fanatic, you're probably better served waiting to pick this up on sale sometime down the road.

Don’t get us wrong: these tracks are a blast to play — particularly Angus Young’s guitar and Brian Johnson’s vocals — and they rank alongside The Best of the Who as Rock Band’s greatest supplemental tunes. “Thunderstruck,” “T.N.T.,” and “Highway to Hell” are just three of the 18 stellar cuts, while a 10-plus-minute “Jailbreak” is an epic concert piece. But it’s still a letdown. If only this had been packaged with more goodies or delivered digitally for a more reasonable price…

Walmart's exclusive AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack offers 18 songs that you can drum, strum and sing along to, including such favorites as "Back In Black" and "Thunderstruck." You can also import these songs into your Rock Band 2 song list. Unfortunately, you'll finish solo tour mode within a couple of hours, there's no online multiplayer and the original master tracks aren't available. That makes it tough to justify spending $40 on the game. If you're an AC/DC fan though, buy this immediately. Otherwise, take caution before proceeding down the Highway To Hell.

It would’ve been much nicer (and cheaper) if we were able to simply download the tracks from the Rock Store, but if compromises like this had to be made in order to get AC/DC to sign on the bottom line, so be it. We not so fickle as to whine about the lack of AC/DC in music games for years, then continue to whine when they’re finally delivered. If we’re hungry we’re not going to complain about the type of plate our food is served on.

AC/DC Live's lower price and the ability to export songs to other Rock Band games makes up in part for the lack of content and shorter experience. However, it still feels like this game has squandered an opportunity to capitalise on the rich history that an iconic band such as AC/DC has, as well as the specific content offered by the AC/DC Live branding, given the amount of material on the attendant DVD. If you're a fan, you'll certainly get some thrills out of it, but it's not the definitive experience that it could have been, and casual fans of AC/DC and Rock Band will find that their money may be better spent elsewhere.

The biggest strike against AC/DC Live is that it's just too expensive for what you get. It's too bad, because this is a fantastic set of songs. If you can't live without AC/DC, then pick this up now. Otherwise, I'd wait for an eventual price drop. In either case, don't buy AC/DC Live unless you plan import the tracks to Rock Band. It's really not worth a damn as a stand-alone game.

Like GH: Aerosmith, this one's only really worth picking up if you - and several other Rock Band-inclined friends - are big fans of the group. For everyone else, I find it a bit hard to recommend paying the $50 asking price, when you probably only care about 4-5 of the songs, and don't even know half a dozen of them.

What do you for money baby)

This track pack is no gem, but if you're an AC/DC fan it's probably money well spent.
