One great thing about it is that it's the same as the original - but different. The characters, for instance, are the same (Pugsley, Gomez, etc), but rendered in a different way - as this is based on the cartoon series, they're all brighter, more colourful. The game structure is the same too - you're once again walking around a house, entering different areas which convert into levels. However, this time the graphics are more original, more varied - like the artist has had more fun with them. The parallax scrolling in the backgrounds is a sight to be seen - perhaps the best ever? - and many of the visual effects are simply stunning. The characters are great too - the baddy sprites are all true individuals, with the drowning cats, in particular, really making an impression on the soppier members of the Super Play team. This is one of those games that it's fun just to sit and watch, not only to play.

Ocean produce another strong game from their favourite constituency, a worthy sequel to Addams Family and it's so polished you can see your face in it.

Making the rounds to most platforms, here comes the Game Boy version of Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt in the ongoing Addams Family saga! The control is a bit stiff, but overall the game is entertaining.

Colorful graphics can't save Pugsley, who's done in by average sounds and monotonous game play.

The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt is a perfect example of a company trying to take advantage of consumers and their children. What you have here is something that should be made illegal and as far as I know doesn't exist anymore because no one's stupid enough to buy anything this awful. Hacking is best left to hackers, enough said, they seem to be able to do it better and you at least expect them to suck and have a good laugh in the process. This game was simply a blatant attempt at making a little extra money by cramming another game into a format it wasn't made for. Shame, Ocean, shame on you. Not like they were making the best games around this time anyway, most of their titles pretty much blew by 1993, being generous to their legacy, of suck.
