Nothing’s changed from the first Lolo, as far as the basics go. Graphics, music, and gameplay are all pretty much the same; perhaps the animation is a little cleaner, but that’s about it. The only real issue I have with Lolo 2 is the amount of time it can take to solve some of these puzzles. Unless you’re an idiot-savant, you will be spending days, if not weeks, trying to figure out some of the more difficult levels. Of course, there’s always GameFAQ’s, but then the pure awesomeness of having beaten a ridiculous level with your own brain power is taken away from you. Despite its rage-a-holic difficulty, Lolo 2 is a fantastic game and a worthy successor.

So this is another case of the not-such-a-sequel phenomenon, where the second installment in a franchise ends up being pretty much just a direct extension of the first game. Adventures of Lolo 2 is still an impressive, addictive puzzle action experience that deserves at least as high a score as the original Lolo game got, and it's worth a look for players who blazed through that quest and are hungry for yet more Lolo puzzles to solve. But the Lolo design didn't really take a sequel-sized leap until Adventures of Lolo 3 – wait till you see that one, puzzle fans. It'll be an even stronger candidate campaigning for 500 of your Wii Points.

"Adventures of LOLO 2" ist eine sehr gelungene Fortsetzung des beliebten Puzzle-Spaßes, die mit vielen neuen Denksportaufgaben aufwartet. Vor allem der Schwerpunkt auf das richtige Timing macht es zu weit mehr als nur einem bloßen Levelpack, der im Ganzen betrachtet sogar noch etwas mehr bietet als das Original. Jeder, der mit dem Vorgänger schon seinen Spaß hatte, kann hier getrost zugreifen. Aber auch Puzzle-Fans, die keinen Wert auf grafischen Schnickschnack legen, sind mit "Adventures of LOLO 2" bestens beraten.
This game's more of an expansion than a sequel, really - there are no new gameplay mechanics at all. The only changes are slightly different graphics for a few monsters, new (obviously!) and harder puzzles and the fact that the game has an actual boss battle at the end this time. There are still 50 puzzles altogether, just like the first game.
If you enjoyed the first game, there is one reason to download this. The puzzles are trickier this time, with four hidden Pro puzzle rooms providing a challenge. Still, seeing as it was released on NES in 1991, Adentures Of Lolo 2 is pretty basic stuff and it's not excatly exciting.
This game is extremely similar to the fist Lolo title, but a few additions have been made to the theme to make it play slightly different. To me, Lolo never achieved the recognition it deserved, and this second entry should provide players with a second chance to experience a truly fine game.
OK, the actual puzzles are different, and a few sprite changes, but there's been absolutely no evolution to the gameplay. To my mind, this makes it more of an expansion pack than a game in its own right. If you're one of the three people who downloaded and completed the fifty levels in the original, this is worth having. If you got twenty levels into the first one and then got a bit bored, there's absolutely no reason to check this out.
Adventures of Lolo 2 is yet another good example of poor quality in sequels and why, be it a game or a movie, you have to step forward with a bit of suspicion. Of course, I was proved wrong with Adventure Island II, but merely a few games later I'm reminded again why such an example is a rarity. For the most part, especially now with the plethora of dang first-person shooters coming out every month, once something sets the bar, it's hard to do anything new with it. Fortunately for video game companies, this makes it easy to sell games, but unfortunately for gamers, this makes it easy to hate games.
