The Adventures of One Button Bob
Description
Bob, like Smith and Jones before him, is an archaeologist treasure-hunter, exploring retro-pixelated dangerous ruins filled with traps and nasty creepy crawlies. Advancing through these ruins, screen by screen, Bob can do one thing and one thing only, activated by the mouse button. In some screens, he throws a boomerang; in others, clicking makes him move. (Conversely, sometimes he moves automatically and clicking makes him stop.) Periodically it can make him climb a ladder, or steer a flying platform higher, or it might activate a jump power gauge to help save him from lava, spikes, a rolling boulder, or bats.
Every half-dozen rooms or so, the basic pattern repeats with greater difficulty; after repeating the cycle a few times it culminates with a boss battle, following which the player is scored according to how few mouse clicks were required to navigate the hero to the story's end.
