Aussie Rules

AFL stands for Australian Rules Football League, and many of the rules came from Gaelic football, which is played in Ireland. Aussie Rules was created in the 1858 as a way to keep cricketers fit during the winter months. The first "Official" VFL/AFL season was in 1897. AFL Finals Fever is the first football game developed using Australian-based football rules.
