Ages of Myst

Ages of Myst provides the gamer with both the classic game of Myst and its sequel Riven. In each game the player finds themselves alone in a strange world where they have a mystery to unravel. In Myst the player become aquatinted with a number of different note books at the start of the game. In these books,Atrus the god-like creator of Myst, has included clues and hints intended to help the player solve the puzzles they encounter in the four different worlds they visit. The player soon learns that Atrus suspects one of his sons of destroying the worlds he has created. Uncertain which is the guilty party he has trapped both brothers in books and asks you to unearth which is innocent. With Riven the highly anticipated sequel to Myst, once again the player comes to the Atrus's help.

If you are one of those rare adventurers who does not already posses either of these game, you might want to consider checking out this combination pack. Chances are good that you'll love Myst, it has already endeared many. While Riven isn't quite up to Myst's par in terns of gameplay, I would be willing to bet that once you've played the first game, you'll at least want to take a look at the sequel. Bottom Line: Beautiful graphics, fantastic sound - but you already knew that about these games. Geared towards the adventure fan that doesn't own either game - either product is much cheaper individually. Myst is a bit dated, but a classic, and Riven is at least worth a look.
