Alles in allem ist Arkanoid - Revenge of Doh eine sehr würdige Weiterentwicklung des einfachen aber sehr fesselnden Vorgängers. Es versprüht die gleiche, meiner Ansicht nach, ein wenig beklemmende und kosmische Atmosphäre, welche auf jeden Fall für ein tolles Spielerlebnis sorgt. Wäre da bloß nicht der unmenschlich hohe Schwierigkeitsgrad, welcher durch das wiederholte Fehlen eines Passwort-Systems, das hier wirklich nicht fehl am Platze gewesen wäre, für viel Frust und Demotivation sorgen kann.

Om du någon gång varit i närheten av en C64 eller en Amstrad har du knappast kunnat undvika att stifta bekantskap med Arkanoid. Spelet är rätt och slätt klassikern bland breakoutspel och har under årens lopp väckt folkets jubel var det än dragot fram. och nu kommer alltså uppföljaren, Arkanoid II, till din Amiga.

All of which is not to say that I have not spent quite a while on this game – I have. The original concept is so brilliantly simple, and so simply brilliant that, warts and all, Revenge of Doh could not ever be a total turkey.
