The One
With the program containing over 500 frames of animation in total, there are plenty of 'baddies' to 'belly-butt', or 'fly-kick' with your size 14 feet, ranging from 'blue waddlers' to 'flying bone-birds'. If you don't take your computer too seriously, you fancy a great laugh and lashings of stomping, puzzle-solving and general fun and chaos, then this is definitely the game for you,

CU Amiga
The puzzles are a tad easy, and once the controls and timing have been mastered, it's a doddle to cream off the wee beasties. That apart, it's still one heck of a game with the best cartoon graphics I've ever seen. Great fun and Core's best game so far.
89
Amiga Action
The 25 levels have had a lot of work put into them and will keep you playing for hours, working out how to overcome each of the many problems. A smashing game and a must for everyone.

ACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment)
Excellently uses the Amiga to the full, with the game quality never slipping below that of a fully-fledged arcade machine. Let your eyes and ears revel in the sheer wealth of enemy creatures, beautiful parallax backdrops, great jingles and hilarious cartoon-like sound effects. Easily the best platform romp since Rick Dangerous II.

Zero
Some games fall flat on their face in overcrowded genres like this one, some games provoke a sort of "yeah, well, tum-de-tum-de-tum", while other entertain you with their original approach and draw you in to the point at which you realise you're a teensy-weensy bit hooked. Chuck Rock falls into the latter category, with the blend of humour, action, mapping and logic slotted together in such a way as to produce a very enjoyable Ice Age romp.

Amiga Joker

Amiga Power
Supremely playable. A brilliant platform game, put together with great care and attention and a feel for character.

Computer and Video Games (CVG)
Chuck Rock is great with loads of levels to keep you occupied. Unfortunately, the action does tend to get a tad repetitive as the rock-throwing antics do not change that much between each level. Take a look by all means - you won't be disappointed.

Info
We're seeing more of this type of game as the Super NES penetrates the market ever deeper. I'm glad of it. The quality keeps getting better and better. Chuck Rock won't win any awards, but it will reward you with plenty of laughs and some pleasantly wasted hours.

Amiga Format
The toughness eventually overshadows the game's personality, however Core have designed a cracking platform epic guaranteed to put players through their paces.

Power Play
