Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat

Indy Heat is a bit of a disappointment. Apart from the in-race pitstop sequences, it offers nothing new whatsoever. The gameplay is okay, yet the narrow, winding circuits make it difficult to overtake and you'll probably resort to dirty tactics in most situations rather than skill or realistic driving techniques. The graphics are highly detailed, if a little on the small side and the in-game sound effects and samples work a treat. If you're really desperate for a half-decent Super Sprint clone then Indy Heat should suffice for the time being, but as driving games go it doesn't really make the grade.

Indy Heat macht einfach Spaß. Befinden sich drei Spieler auf der Hatz, stehen nicht nur rechnerinterne Rangeleien, sondern auch diverse Knuffe unter den Spielern auf der Tagesordnung. Die pfiffigen Boxenstopps sorgen ebenfalls für Aufregung. Es ist nicht nett, wenn Martin meinen Wagen aus der Pit-Box stößt, und ich dabei noch einen meiner (kreischenden) Mechaniker überrolle. Die Kurse sind durchaus abwechslungsreich und teilweise sehr knifflig (u.a. dank Abkürzungen und Brücken). Indy Heat ist mir jedoch eine Ecke zu leicht. Habe ich alle Kurse dank drei Continues in einer Stunde durchgespielt, macht's beim weiteren Spielen nur noch mit Freunden richtig Spaß.
