Description

Federation of Free Traders is a space simulation/exploration game that is quite similar to the much more famous Elite, which means you get to zoom around in space while trading goods, undertaking missions or simply exploring the huge galaxy (which consists of over 8 million planets).

In fact, the sheer amount of things to do in FOFT is staggering and there is considerable attention to detail. For instance, if you're getting a bit tired of roaming around in outer space, you can always skim a planet or two (which plays a lot like David Braben's other game Virus). During the docking sequence, you can even create your own programs for automated functions, using a built-in BASIC like language called SIMPLE.
