Innocent Until Caught

Ultimately, this isn't a bad game by any means, it just seems to lack the sheen of quality that Simon the Sorcerer and Beneath a Steel Sky has. Still well worth a look if you enjoy adventures though.

Innocent Until Caught suffers, to a certain extent, from being produced by a company that is much better known for its arcade and platform games that its adventures . Yes, there are some inventive features and interesting, even funny situations, but the game seems to lack a hook, something exciting that'll keep you up until the small hours playing it. Pity.

L'interface utilisateur est cependant ennuyeuse, le pointeur se traînant lamentablement et les différentes icônes ne sont pas facilement sélectionnables. Heureusement qu'ils ont pensé à des raccourcis claviers, qui facilitent grandement les parties. Les graphismes ont été plutôt mal adaptés de la version Pc, et seules les musiques sont de bonne facture. L'humour est très présent... et très british! Ne vous étonnez donc pas d'un certain mauvais goût dans quelques phrases. Le scénario est en revanche plutôt bien conçu, et les sous-missions évitent à Innocent d'être trop répétitif. Honnête, sans plus.

Das Spiel ist zwar keineswegs perfekt, denn neben den bereits erwähnten Mankos ist auch die Maussteuerung etwas bockig und die Präsentation nicht unbedingt ein Knaller. Aber in der Summe machen die originelle Story, die stimmige Atmosphäre und der reichlich vorhandene Wortwitz die kleinen Mängel mehr als wett. Lediglich Futuristen ohne Festplatten sollten die zehn Disks ohne Zweitlaufwerkunterstützung mit Vorsicht genießen.

Innocent is a big disappointment. Its dodgy controls and puerile humour are infuriating. Even some seriously gorgeous graphics cannot raise the game above being second-rate.

Bakgrundsgrafiken är bra, men karaktärerna ser inte bra ut. Gränssnittet är dessutom klumpigt och många problem ologiska. Humorn är dock bra och det är inte ofta man ser äventyrsspel av den här kalibern längre.
