Wizardry: Bane of the Cosmic Forge

Man nehme die spielerisch besten Elemente aus "Dungeon Master, der SSI-Serie und der "Bard's Tale"-Trilogie, würze alles mit einer atmosphärisch brillanten Fantasy-Geschichte und fertig ist ein Rollenspiel der Extraklasse. Allerdings sollten sich nur wettergegerbte Veteranen an diesen Brocken wagen, Neulinge verlieren schnell den Überblick. Programmierer Dave Bradley ist ein Meisterwerk gelungen: Bane of the Cosmic Forge ist das Beste, was einem Rollenspieler auf dem Amiga passieren kann.

Where Bane outshines Dungeon Master is in its scope and attention to detail. This is a massive adventure.

Wer die Geduld aufbringt, sich in ein komplexes Programm einzuarbeiten, findet in Bane of the Cosmic Forge ein rundum fesselndes Rollenspiel mit vielen harten Rätselnüssen. Dass man auch noch den Schwierigkeitsgrad selbst bestimmen darf, macht den Hit perfekt!

Here is a game which breaks the rules and still comes up looking good. 'Gameplay' is what makes all the difference, and this has it in spades. Wizardry's sound and graphics were fine when the game was originally released, but no-one would claim they're still the best. However you'll soon forget that as this holds you spellbound. This RPG is for the sharp-dressed!

Damn and blast. That's what they must be thinking at Sirtech. Here's a great game with some pleasant touches, and easy-to-use frontend and the weight of the Wizardry series behind it for added zip, but SSI have released Eye of the Beholder II first.
