Saturn necesitaba un gran juego de Fórmula 1 (o Indy en su defecto) y aquí lo tenemos. Es una lástima que gráficamente haya elementos que no terminen de cuajar y que tenga algunas limitaciones -como la imposibilidad de elegir vehículo o la falta de alguna otra competición- porque si no estaríamos hablando de un rival directo del mismísimo «Sega Rally», juego al que incluso supera en algunos aspectos, como en el número de circuitos o en la inclusión de un campeonato de larga duración.

If a game's fun was determined by graphics alone, Andretti would live in the pits. The cars aren't polished as they are in the Playstation version, while the backgrounds are nowhere near as colorful and detailed as Daytona's. However, screeching tires, roaring motors and crashing cars provide your ears with the green light to realism that the graphics fail to offer. Saturn owners who are looking to buy one racing game this year, looking no further. Andretti pumps nitro into the veins of the genre's fans and is the clear-cut winner in the crowded field of Saturn racers.

Andretti Racing är ännu ett spel i EA Sports vanliga anda. Inramningen är bra, grafiken är bra och utförandet är lagom avancerat utan att bli för arkadliknande. Spelet rekommenderas varmt. Ett solitt bilspel med bra 3D-acceleration.

Simply put, this game is fun to play. It keeps you interested and challenged and provides hours of gameplay. If you’re looking for a good racing game or are just a really big Mario and Michael Andretti fan, then this one is definitely worth a shot. So have fun and don’t forget to buckle up.

Andretti Racing is a good combination of arcade-style racing with some simulation aspects mixed in. The large number of tracks (16) will keep you playing for quite a while, because none of them is easy to master. Controlling the car is a breeze and the steering is very responsive. I only wish that they would have spent a little more time separating the Indy tracks and the stock car tracks. Had this been done, this would be a must-have game. As it stands now, it is a good racing title that should give hours of fun gameplay.

If you have not played a racing game in the last year or two, then get off your butt and strap yourself into this one. You will not have seen anything like it. It does find itself under comparison with the newly released Grand Prix II (for the PC), which if anything shows an even finer attention to detail. However, for the Playstation you will find none finer... yet.

Hoe plezierig het rijden ook is, dit spel is geen concurrentie voor Papyrus. Het enige voordeel is dat je twee spelen voor de prijs van één kan kopen. Elke andere uitgever zou de Indycar en de Stock Car versie afzonderlijk verkocht hebben.

There are some very positive aspects of Andretti Racing, but there are some things that could use a little polishing to make them better. The 3D accelerated graphics look great, even if there are fogging and lens flare effects. I thought the courses were well done, again even if they are not all famous race tracks. Andretti Racing is a solid racing title that offers a middle of the road approach to racing fans. There might not be the detail in the game for both kinds of racing that can be found in products like Nascar Racing, but, on the other hand, it is great to have the chance to race both Indy Cars and stock cars in the same game. I liked the videos and the EA Sports style that is built into the game, but where the game counts the most is in its gameplay. The races are realistic enough to make them fun to participate in. This title is a solid racing title with a few glitches in its computer intelligence and racing options.

Presentation is second to gameplay in Andretti. The graphics aren't the best the PlayStation has ever seen, but they're competent and get the job done. Draw-in is kept to a minimum, also. The tracks themselves are extremely challenging, with many of the turns requiring deft power slide skills.

NASCAR and Indy in one game. What else can you ask for? Andretti Racing seems to mimic what you've seen in any NASCAR or Indy racing game and it comes very close. Smooth animations, great graphics and easy controls are just a few features that make Andretti Racing an accurate racer. The best feature that certainly changes the gameplay is the link capability. You're able to play up to four players head-to-head. This game is fun to play.

Trotz diverser Optionen (Setup, Boxenstopps, Unfallschäden usw.) vermittelt Andretti Racing kein gehobenes Maß an Realismus. Dazu wirken die Grafiken rund ums Auto etwas zu künstlich, und das Fahrgefühl ist zu actionorientiert. Die Kameraperspektive kann nur während des Rennens umgeschaltet werden, was sich bei den fliegenden Starts als nervig erweist. Klasse ist dagegen, daß der PC-Besitzer zwei unterschiedliche Rennserien spielen und eine richtige Karriere durchleben darf.

A very competent racing package. It handles both sides of the fence (Indy and Stock car racing) very well, just not exceeding in either category. If your like me and love driving games, this one is a no brainer, buy it NOW! If you like to just dabble with racing games and are curious, by all means rent it first. It may just convert you to the dark side... of racing that is!

Some gamers will view Andretti Racing as a Need for Speed loaded with real race cars and fancied up with a few brushstrokes of realism, while others will see it as a dumbed-down amalgam of NASCAR 2, CART Racing, and CART Precision Racing. The funny thing is that both opinions are pretty much on the money - and how much you enjoy EA Sports' latest racing game depends on which camp you belong to.

Etwas mehr Sorgfalt hätte dieser an sich spaßigen Konsolen-Umsetzung nicht geschadet. Die Wagen drehen sich völlig unrealistisch um die Mittelachse, die Gegner stehen auf Geraden schräg zur Fahrtrichtung, und die nichtssagenden Videos sind völlig überflüssig. Für eine kleine Spritztour zwischendrin oder flotte Karambolagen im Netzwerk ist Andretti Racing aber allemal geeignet.

In terms of options and career paths, Mario Andretti Racing takes auto racing to a new level of video game realism. Consulting with Andretti himself through much of the design process, the developers at EA Sports created an excellent user interface with loads of options. The game offers both Stock Car and Formula One racing, which means junkies from both sides of the track can get their fill. An innovative career system allows players to compete for an entire season of harsh racing, and with over 16 different tracks to take on, replay value is guaranteed.

Erinnert sich noch jemand an Speed Haste vom letzten Jahr? Nicht? Jenes Rennspiel setzte auf das gleiche Konzept, war noch eine ganze Ecke schlechter und ebenfalls von Electronic Arts. So wird wohl auch Andretti Racing nur genügsamen Rennsportfans länger als ein paar Stunden im Gedächtnis bleiben. Dem Mischmasch aus verschiedenen Rennklassen, Simulations- und Action-Elementen kann ich eigentlich keine groben Mängel ankreiden, der Funke will jedoch nicht so recht überspringen. Bei der momentanen Schwemme an Rennspielen reicht es einfach nicht, ein zwar grundsolides, aber erschreckend ideenloses Produkt abzuliefern

Es gibt kaum etwas, das der Rennfahrer-Clan von Jeff, Michael und Daddy Mario Andretti nicht gewonnen hat. Doch für das von ihnen präsentierte Spiel bekämen die Herren nicht einmal einen Blumentopf.
