Description

Doodle Basketball 2 is the sequel to Doodle Basketball. Just like the first title it is a game about launching a basketball into the basket. The basketball is placed on a court in different spots in succession. The player taps and holds while moving to change the ball's trajectory, marked by a red dotted line. By releasing it the ball is launched. At the start the player has nine lives and the goal is to score as much as possible until no more lives are left. More points are provided from shooting from a distance. More points are provided from shooting from a distance. If a swish basket is scored, without touching the board or the ring, an additional ball (life) is provided. If three swishes in succession are scored, a bigger basket is provided for the next three shots.

The game expands the score system from the first game with new types of throws. If a ball is bounced on the ground and then goes in the basket, ten additional points are provided. If the ball hits the side of the screen and then goes in, the points are tripled. If both the court and the wall are used, the points are quadrupled. Other novelties for this version are different themes for the courts and a collection of different types of basketballs that can be unlocked in exchange for points.

Multiplayer is entirely new for this version, either by passing on the device, using Bluetooth or online multiplayer. It is based on the Minus Five pickup game where players shoot the ball in turns. If the ball misses the basket the player gets a minus and the first letter of a five-letter word is opened up. If the first player scores, the second player needs to mimic the shot in a general way (using the floor, using the wall or both). There are four ball priorities (simple shot, floor ball, wall ball, and floor and wall ball). The player who fails to score the fixed number of balls (five) loses the game and drops out.

The game's visuals are hand drawn with crayon. The game is once again free and does not contain in-app purchases, but now there are advertisements.
