A member of one of the best trilogies ever conceived by Infocom, this allowed you to cast spells galore, to solve puzzles galore. This was the first story in the series, and although that meant it was the easiest, it set the mood for the sequel, Sorcerer. That alone is reason to love this game! Sure, both that sequel and this game would have their story slightly tarnished with the abysmally ended Spellbreaker, but...nobody's perfect. The game itself was still cool.
THE ENCHANTER is a lot of fun
to play, especially with some of the
deft touches of humor here and there
throughout the game. In terms of difficulty,
I would rate it as being harder
than Planetfall, but not as hard as
Suspended or the Zorks.
Bottom Line: Another typically excellent
game from Infocom, and not
to be missed.
