Fans of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride never had it half as good. Buried treasure, ship battles, sword fights, and even just plain mayhem, was all part of this classic strategy game. When you consider how much game was on one mere floppy disk, it's truly amazing. The finale of the game could be at any time you wished --just retire your character-- and often left him with his own land, wife, and happiness ever after. Sure, most pirates are now at the bottom of the Ocean --a fate which might even happen to your game character, if you're not careful-- though this game let you have your cake and eat it to, no matter how unlike history it may be. In short, Pirates! was a great, classic moment in multimedia, that is even one of Techtite's choices of 50 Best Multimedia Classics.
