Army Men: World War

The control is the same old same old, nothing has changed since Sarge's Heroes, it makes the game harder to play, and more annoying. The Dual Shock and analog is there, but analog has no sensitivity at all. Army Men: World War actually may be worth a rental, 3DO has finally out themselves back on the lane, let's just hope they progress.

As if the plastic-soldier carnage in Army Men 3D weren't enough, 3DO is back in an even more over-the-top sequel in Army Men World War. The plot of the first Army Men is similar to this game's - the Tan army is on the warpath, and it's up to a lone Green-army soldier to defeat it. Unfortunately for you though, you happen to be that soldier. Sure, you're told you're getting backup, but that never really happens in this type of game.

Так что, с какой стороны не подойди, а игра эта для нормального человека (пусть ему даже лет пять-семь) ну никак не подходит. Она явно предназначена для инвалидов, за что честь и хвала славной компании 3DO.

Angesichts öder Landschaften kommt keine Atmosphäre auf, den Vorspann hat man so ähnlich schon bei einem der Vorgänger gesehen und die ewig gleichen Fahrzeuge wie Befehle können sich Kenner der Serie schenken. Immerhin dürfte die Entwicklung dieses Aufgusses fast nichts gekostet haben, da lacht wenigstens das Herz des Managements.

Army Men: World War is a game that is far behind the times. In fact, the entire Army Men series is behind the times. Perhaps 3DO should step back for a moment and put a little bit of that money they seem to be making from this franchise back into the game itself. Update the graphics, re-do the sound and come up with some new, unique and exciting ways to bring these toy soldiers to the PC.
