There are some puns and references in the game that you might not get unless you try certain things:

Type "ask about bird" when speaking to the village idiot. He'll talk about Larry Bird instead.

When visiting the kraken, type "ask about kraken". He'll give you a familiar Muhammed Ali quote.

Eating food as an owl or turtle will give you a message about "Purina (the animal you've turned in to)-chow".

Type "look at woman" when you're in the underground chamber. It's a pun, but I'm not sure what it means.

Finally, after killing the boar, try to pull the tusk out fo the boar's mouth. Yep, another pun!
