Purists are admirably catered for with the 2-D game, but it's the 3-D battles which make Battlechess a great way to relax while the same kicking several shades of stars out of your friends.
The One (Jul, 1989)
Gameplay is, of course, identical (but for some reason it takes slightly longer for the computer to decide its next move) and all the original options (including the two-player modem link-up) are available.
