A cursory googling reveals no indication that there was any sort of client-side terminal software run by the player beyond whatever they would have used to connect to Sprint or Compuserve, meaning the list of platforms is just a list of contemporary computers which might have typically made such a connection.

I for one welcome this kind of submission into mobygames but as with the discworld MUD before it, it fits uneasily in our existing platform categorization system. I suppose this means I should finalise my "terminal games" description (covering MUDs, BBS door games, and games offered by early online services such as this), perhaps with games doing double-platform-duty if they had client software or if we know what the backend ran on (through which it could be played locally).

You're correct. There weren't any other options available. There should be a terminal-mode added to the platforms list.
