I have no doubt this new game is going to be the market leader in its field. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay superb and the production first rate, although the music is a little lacking. On your marks, get set, go - down to the shop and buy it.
The Games Machine (UK)
The whole game is playable, but makes no substantial improvement over 8-bit versions.
Despite excellent graphics, sound and gameplay, it's not as though your real-life performance in any of the five events would improve as a result of playing the game, so it wouldn't seem to appeal to the sportsman. However, it's graphics are record breaking and you should check it out for these alone.
Each game is well depicted and accompanied with the obligatory sound effects. The diving and hurdles events stand out the most. The diving because of the wonderful way in which it is represented, and the hurdles because of the socket-wrenching joystick-wriggling needed to win a gold medal.
ACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment)
Terrific graphics and perspective views of some events can't hide the aged game style. You'll soon burn this one out.
