The graphics and sound effects are among the best you'll see on the ST and I can thoroughly recommend Terrorpods - it's a superb game. My only complaint - and this is true for most ST games - is that it is a bit pricey.

Though you can use a fuel-gobbling warp drive to skip from one complex to another, Terrorpods is likely to be a long time playing; the ultimate aid is to collect bits of Terrorpod and get the secret back to base. Fortunately there's a game save function, so you can think of it in some terms as an arcade-strategy-simulation-adventure, and a damn good one too. Buy at once.

If you like your strategy spiced with the chance to blast the odd alien then Terrorpods could be worth a look; if you prefer your blasting spiced with the odd chance to think then you could well get frustrated and, eventually, bored.

Zzap! (Dec, 1987)
The graphics aren't bad and the game is engrossing, but the £25 price tag is a little on the steep side.
