Joystick (French)
A posséder !
ST Format
First impressions are, admittedly, not good - the game-show-style intro music is laughable - but what the hell, it is a game! And when you spend a bit of time with Vroom you realise it's a major player. The competition is tough - well tough - but exciting and believable enough to make you want more. And if you're lucky enough to have a mate and a modem cable, it's ten times better to play. Buy it! You won't be disappointed. [pages 78f]

Overall this is one of the best racing games that you can buy on the ST but it does have some minor glitches, like not being able to use the joystick on racing mode - using the mouse does tend to ruin a very good game. Apart from that, with Lotus 2 on the market and the up-and-coming Formula-One Grand Prix by MicroProse the driving games scene looks very promising indeed. Got to go now and learn my Highway Code, buy maybe I'll just have another go at the excellent Vroom.
The One for ST Games
The first thing that will strike you about Vroom is the speed - it feels great when you zoom away from a crash and go through the gears at high speed. The surrounding graphics and cockpit are more than functional and convey a realistic feel; that along with the sound effects generates a sense of "being there".
ASM (Aktueller Software Markt)
