Overall, Winter Olympiad is great fun to play. The sound effects are a little drab, but the music is good and spectacular graphics are used throughout. The gameplay and speed compliment each other and, although some events are more difficult than others, everyone should find at least one to suit them.

The graphics for Winter Olympiad are superb, but sound leaves a little to desired. Each stage plays well and requires a substantial amount of practice to complete with anything like a record-breaking score. Dedicated sports simulation fans could find the fun dies off quickly though.

Despite all this, I cannot recommend the game. The pretty graphics do not compensate from a basic lack of gameplay. If you are seriously in the market for a winter sports game for your ST then I would suggest you check out Epyx/US Gold's Winter Games
