I was pleasantly surprised while playing Azada, as I didn't expect it to be so fun and interesting. Also, as I'm writing this review right now, my mind keeps going back to Azada, wanting to see what comes next, and that right there is the sign of a great game. You know you've stumbled upon a great game when you have a ton of stuff going on, such as work for instance, and yet all you want to do is play. Azada, if I lose my job, I'm so blaming you. Don't pass up on Azada and be sure to give it a play.

Azada is one of those games you need to discover for yourself, instead of a Gamezebo writer spoiling it all for you. If you've a fan of puzzle games or want a casual game with a story, you'll no doubt have fun with this clever and refreshingly unique mystery.
WindowsSoftpedia (Sep 14, 2007)
On a closing note I can say that I am aware that these types of games have been released before, but none of them mixed so nicely. Azada has the looks, the story and the challenge. Many would call them silly games for nothing. Still, you have a storyline to follow and a secret to discover and that makes the gameplay challenging and not boring.

Once you get into the game you’ll find that things move very quickly and, unfortunately, the end will come all too soon. Thankfully I think the game is just the right length. There are only so many mini games you can play, and they last jut the right amount of time -with enough variety to keep you amused for the 5/6 hours it takes to complete the game. Yes, it’s short, and sometimes a little easy, but a large part of the enjoyment comes from completing all the games and helping Titus escape from Azada.
WindowsGames Finder (Mar 13, 2014)
With over 40 puzzles to tackle and an eerie soundtrack to keep you in the moment Azada is worth checking out and with multiple sequels there is no shortage of gameplay in the series if you find you like the original.

All in all, though, Azada is a short, pretty, deluxe-feeling puzzle adventure that is very easy to recommend.

Nintendo 3DSCubed3 (Jan 06, 2013)
Azada goes to show that there is still plenty of mileage left in the puzzle genre, mixing together not only regular Hidden Object and Match-3 elements, but plenty of other challenges that get the old grey matter working overtime, as well as drip-feeding story elements to bring more of a purpose to proceedings.
Nintendo 3DSNintendo Life (Nov 26, 2013)
Azada is an passible port of a good PC game that will appeal to casual gamers. The puzzles are varied enough and the hidden object adventure stages are — despite a few control niggles — fun to play. It's one of the better hidden object adventure games on the 3DS, but experienced puzzle gamers who are expecting something akin to a new Layton adventure will be disappointed: for them, this game will be too easy and too short.

In the end, what is there to make of Azada? It helped create and define the genre of casual adventure games. But its attempts at mixing genres resulted in problems that seriously hinder its enjoyability. Today, now that people have been successfully mixing the two genres for years, the original game gives off the feeling of “this is what casual adventure games were like, before they knew how to make casual adventure games.”
