Chapter Two:

Now, the chapter two opens as we see Grace Nakimura selling books in New Orleans at Gabriel's bookstore and talking on the phone with her mommy. Some female buyer approaches and seems to be totally in love w/ that Blake Backslash (Gabriel Knight's book) 'Voodoo Murders' book. As Gracey seems to 'hate' Gabriel, but is no willing to share him w/ anyone, she tells some story as if he had some accident with his face. Suddenly, she notices Gabriel's letter (you know, the one we sent in Munich) and he flies to schloss Ritter A.S.A.P. not letting Gerda to help Gabriel as that should be her job. Thus, Grace starts to unravel another part of a mystery from a small town Rittersberg.

Now, you start in Gabriel's room. Check the door near the bed. You'll notice it's locked. First thing to do to get some points is to go down and talk to Gerda (4). You'll notice a spark of jealousy in Grace, but that will splash as you to get to know each other more. Go outside the castle and look at the car. So, the keys must be found. Head over to town, and enter the Werner Huber's inn (the one to the right), as Gerda told you Gabriel took a case for this man. Talk to Werner Huber and you'll get to know more details about Gabriel's new case, and that it involves werewolves (4). Go visit Rittersberg Rathaus (town hall) and try to fin out some more information about the past and the present (2). It appears they keep here all the trial records from the past, so you should find the exact date to get more info about the trial Werner mentioned in the last conversation. Go back to castle and ask Gerda about the car keys. Poof, bad luck, Gabriel's very fond to that car, so keys are out of the question. Go up to your (Gabriel's) room and check the toolbox near the furnace. You'll also notice that workman has gone now. Take the screwdriver (1) and put it in the hole where one of the stones is missing on the chimney (3). You'll here a click sound. Now open the closet and enter the secret passage (5). Somehow, Grace will discover that someone's been using this passage recently. The path down leads to the back of the castle, we'll go back there in chapter four I believe. But for now, go right, and you'll come out from a closet that is suited in Gerda's room (2). You'll notice she holds a picture of Wolfgang. Something to remember I guess... not, you'll see for that in extended edition in chapter four. Open the closet, take the key (2) and go back to Gabriel's room. There, unlock the door next to bed and enter the schattenjägers library (5). Check the shelves in the middle. You'll find a book called Lycanthropes, with some envelope inside. Meanwhile, Gerda will come, and after some yelling, she'll go out, leaving you to do the research for Gabriel (1). Read the letter from Ludvig II (2) and the book of Lycanthropes (23). After you found out a bit more about werewolves check twice the right bookcase under journals to get a Victor Ritter's (1) and Christian Ritter's (1) journal. Read them both (4) and you'll get two points for each beside some more knowledge for mysteries. Check the left shelves under biographies for Ludwig II. You'll find out all books are on german, and that won't help you much. Sit at the desk and check failed and uninspired manuscripts from Gabriel. Use Professor Barclay's card to call him. He tells he'll call you and let you know a bit more about Ludwig II as he asks his friend at the Berlin University (5).

Go and visit the town again. Go to town hall and talk about trial records again. Now you know the exact date, right? Stop! Don't answer me that, it was rhetorical question. Now you'll be able to find out more about that past event, and you'll even get to see the dungeon where he was held (8). You'll come back here again when Gabriel will be bitten, but it'll pass some time for that event to occur. Look at the bed. Look through the window at the church (2). Go enter the church and talk to the priest. No use, he speaks only german. While here, check the schattenjägers crypts and you'll notice a silver heart on one of the sarcophagus. Go to town hall, and talk with Mayor Habermas about church records. He'll write you a not for Father Getz. Go to the church and give the note to Father Getz (2), and then go back and talk to Habermas (5). You'll find out more then you expect, and what was that wolf-sealed envelope doing along these files. Step in the inn and ask Werner Huber about Ludwig II. Go back in the library and write a letter to Gabriel (5). Use that package for Gabriel on Gerda (2), and she'll give you the address of Gabriel's lawyer in München (Munich). Go to the post office (right next to town hall) and send the package to Gabriel (5). Use youe wallet to pay the shipping cost.

Now, the night seems long with Grace and Gerda nearby, but someone made it all even more suspensed. Some, probably american, family came here to meet the schattenjägger(s) and somewhere in that dialogue, the woman had a vision, of a great danger, and the black wolf, and then they left calling Grace to come in the inn where they're spending night tomorrow. Grace and Gerda were still amazed, and fully unaware of the events that surround them.
