Description official description

The world in Beat Sneak Bandit has a problem: All clocks in the world were stolen! The trail leads to Duck Clockface's mansion and the player takes the role of the Beat Sneak Bandit with the goal to get the clocks back.

The basic principle of the game is based on music or, more precisely, the beat of the music. In order to move the player character forward, it is necessary to tap on the touch screen with the beat. This is also the only control the player has - in order to turn, a wall needs to be touched. All non-static obstacles also move to the rhythm, e.g. trap doors (open and close), guards (change the viewing direction) or burglar-catching lights (switch on and off). Because of this, the most important skill to beat the levels is timing in order to avoid said obstacles. In later levels there are also other elements like teleportation devices which add a puzzle component.

Each of the 40 levels has only one main goal: reach the clock without being caught. There are also four bonus clocks per level which unlock overall 16 harder levels which only show shadow silhouettes. In order to collect those clocks, the player needs to plan the movements ahead (e.g. in order to avoid moving past them or picking up the level-ending clock before) and stay in rhythm: every time a beat is missed, on the bonus clocks disappears. The levels have to be tackled in a linear order, but can be replayed to get more bonus clocks or temporarily skipped after the third failed attempt.
