Description
Betty Bad is a simple arcade style 3rd person shooter set in a sci-fi future where your playable heroine is a bounty-hunting mercenary, Elizabeth Badowski, a.k.a Betty Bad. Gameplay comes off as a mixture of
Tomb Raider and the arcade classic
Tempest.
A deep space mining asteroid has been overrun by insect alien creatures and Betty's mission is to destroy them through a series of mining tunnels and also to find any surviving miners.
Betty's armor allows her 360 degree movement in a circular direction. Using her "UniGun", she'll blast her way through enemies while collecting energy for five different weapons. She also has use of a plasma shield which blocks shots and kills any enemies that run into it. You can also make her do somersaults and flips in order to avoid incoming fire. Also, she must avoid obstacles like blades in the tunnel walls, automatic gun turrets and sometimes need to shoot distant switches to extend bridges over tunnel section chasms. You have 5 lives and when all those are lost, the game is over.
