DescriptionMinerva's Den is the fourth DLC for BioShock 2 and the second to expand upon the singleplayer. In this case it is a self-contained story in the BioShock 2 universe. The player controls a new character who has teamed up with Dr. Tenenbaum to liberate a Rapture district. It introduces Splicers who can command the power of the elements. There are three new areas to explore and it can be played parallel to the main story with the option to harvest or adopt six new Little Sisters in it. It introduces the experimental Ion Laser and chaotic Gravity Well Plasmid, and lso fight against the new Lancer Big Daddy. Also, when the The Protector Trials is installed it provides access to the Master Protector tonic in any Gatherer's Garden in this DLC, which both increases harvest times for any Little Sister accompanying the protagonist and the ADAM they collect. Initially, the PC version was cancelled but after fan outcries, it was eventually released eight months after the console versions.
