Atari STASM (Aktueller Software Markt)
Insgesamt ist dieses Adventure sehr klever gestaltet und fordert von dem Spieler einiges an Ɯberlegungen. Kombiniert mit der guten und auch animierten Grafik kommt kein ST-Besitzer an diesem Adventure vorbei.

Altogether a very clever and varied game, with some outstanding Disney style graphics.

DOSTechtite
This was based on the Disney film, which itself was based on a popular fantasy novel. An attempt to make the underdog animated classic into a game was admirable, although its puzzles were only so-so. Snafus with company politics make this title a rare find these days. That's no biggie; the game was an only mildly acceptable "classic"...much like the movie itself.

DOSAdventure Classic Gaming
Even for today, The Black Cauldron is a decent adventure game. The dated graphics and the clumsy interface can make for some frustrating gameplay, but they are endurable flaws. Although the game is largely aimed for younger gamers, it is a game that can be easily enjoyed by older adult gamers as well.
