DescriptionDanger Dash is an endless runner that starts when explorer Chuck Ace has to flee from a streak of tigers. The gameplay is typical for the genre. He runs at a constant pace and can moved between three lanes to collect coins and avoid obstacles. Swiping up and down makes him jump and glide respectively. There are different environments linked together and sometimes it is possible to choose between two paths.
Coins provide points for a score and collecting many in succession builds a multiplier. Next to the multiplier is a bar that is filled gradually by progressing. When full an icon can be tapped to activate Jungle Fever. It drastically increases the score multiplier for a short time. The results of runs add to an experience meter and there are various missions to complete such as collecting a number of coins in a single runs, covering a certain distance, jumping over a certain amount of obstacles etc. Completing these provides additional coins and they can be skipped by paying coins. Next to regular coins there are gem coins and giant gem coins that are worth more.
Optionally a score booster or a mega booster can be purchased before starting a run to increase the score multiplier by five or ten respectively. Headstart is another type of booster, skipping the first 500 or 1,000 metres. The game has four types of power-ups that can be found along the way: a revival ankh, a moneybag, gem rush and one to transform into an invincible tiger for a short while. There are also two types of speed boosters that influence the speed and the score multiplier based on risk and reward. A single collision ends a run, unless a revival ankh is active. Players can pay coins to continue or watch a video for a free revive. Power-ups need to be unlocked and upgraded multiple times by spending coins. The same goes for the additional characters Miranda Rose, Blowing Wind and Talos who come with a perk. The game is free-to-play with advertisements to continue runs or get extra coins. Additional coins can be bought as an in-app purchase. The JAVA version uses rubies as an additional currency.
