August 32ndA glitch can be triggered that forces the game to continue to August 32nd, which causes the graphics and audio to become distorted. Because some of the resulting texture distortions can end up being rather disturbing, the glitch has gained a level of notoriety on websites such as 2channel.
Release delayThe game was originally scheduled for a summer 1999 release, but the producers insisted on the inclusion of a fishing minigame. The extra time taken for programming meant the original deadline was missed. Since Sony did not want to release a summer vacation game in the fall, the release was pushed back to summer of 2000.
