Description
In
Bomb The City, you are flying a bomber, and your task is to level all skyscraper in the city to the ground. Your bomber will fly from the left screen to the right, and after disappearing, it will reappear on the left side, but with a lower altitude.
If you manage to level all buildings, you proceed to the next level. If you don't manage to destroy all buildings, your plane will crash into one and it's game over. Each new level increases the flight speed of your bomber.
The game graphics, including colors and resolution, are completely retro-style (details see Trivia).

Trivia
A grayscale Windows game? What the hell?
According to the
Apocalyptic Coders website, the game was made for a 2-bit-game competition, featuring only 4 colors. This competition should create games similar to Nintendo's Game Boy. This is also the reason why the game resolution is so tiny.
OK, I'm not an expert about the Game Boy (in fact, I never had one), so I can't say if the statement above is true or not, but while I made the screenshots, I found something odd.
I made an
unique color measurement on the screenshots, which I contributed, and I found out that the number of different colors ranging from 4 to 12! And twelve different colors does not sound like "only 4".
