Trivia
Quite early on in the game you will find a town called Romero. This town is overrun with zombies during the night. The name Romero is a homage to George A. Romero who created the cult zombie movie Night of the Living Dead as well as its 3 sequels Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead and more recently Land of the Dead.
Arthur from Ghosts'n Goblins makes a cameo in several portraits in the game.

The main character of all Breath of Fire games, a boy who can shift from human form into a dragon one, is called Ryu. This is quite logical, considering the fact that the word "ryu" means "dragon" in Japanese.
The SNES version was originally developed and published in Japan by Capcom (1993). However it was Squaresoft who translated the SNES version into English and released it in the U.S. (1994).
