Description
The player begins in one area of this top-down maze, and seeks the exit in another area by tapping arrow keys, tile by tile, toward their goal. On level 1 of the maze, that's easy enough; however, with larger mazes the player learns they are not alone in this maze. Also present are horrible Minotaurs, half-bull, half men, known for their traditional residence in labyrinths. When the player finds them, they will chase the player until he or she reaches the exit or a dead end. (Dead for who depends on whether the player has encountered a sword among the maze's twists and turns. The player can run past the Minotaur at the cost of a little health, but they only have a little health at their disposal so this is not a maneuver to be recommended regularly.)
Also present in the maze are other helps and hindrances -- traps and the shields that cancel them out; locked doors and keys; a torch to extend the player's sight-lines; and a potion to restore health.
