Bubble Bobble was one of my favorite games in my youth. Man, I remember playing it for hours together with my brother on our old Sega Master System, without ever finishing it or getting tired of it. Rainbow Island, the sequel to Bubble Bobble, is a less known game to me, but it acquired a classic status among a lot of old school gamers.

Egentligen skulle jag vilja sätta två betyg för det här spelet, ett för nya spelare och ett för oss gamlingar. Tyvärr kan jag bara sätta ett betyg, så jag väljer nyspelvärdet. För gamlingar är spelet däremot nästan en femma.

Overall, the PC version of Bubble Bobble does not live up to the arcade original, and you won't get much entertainment for your buck out of this translation. That said, the version of Rainbow Islands on the CD is fun treat for all ages. Now if Acclaim would only release a stand-alone version of Rainbow Islands for $15...
