I also like how Bump N Jump encourages you to be reckless to rack up the big points; it makes the action all the more addicting. If there's a flaw, it may be those cheap "oil slicks" which cause you to explore on contact. Nevertheless, if you're collecting games for the Intellivision, this one should be near the top of your list.

Bump N Jump is fun and addictive. The graphics are only fair, but the animation is silky smooth. Just be sure to turn that "happy" background music off.

Though the graphics are unpretentious, each of the cars can easily be identified. Quite a few cars can fill the screen at once without any slowdown or flicker present anywhere. Hitting top speed really makes the game fly by adding a little bit of nausea to the proceedings. To keep this speed going the entire game, the backgrounds are quite un-elaborate and just change colors as the game goes on. Oh, and while the sound effects won't win any awards, that damn theme song will be in your head for days.

Here's a simple but entertaining little driving game that was popular in the arcades of the early 80's. You control a jumping car on a vertically-scrolling road, bumping other cars into guardrails or landing on them for points. Be sure to keep an eye out for rapidly-approaching gaps in the road that you'll need to jump over. Bump N Jump's graphics are colorful, with changing scenery that includes a bridge, city, and suburbs. A pleasant background tune plays throughout the game. It's not very intense, but Bump N Jump provides simple arcade enjoyment.
